Restored pine boards in a period living room

Floor Sanding & Restoration

What to expect

Many homes have good timber hiding under years of wear, stains and old finishes. Sanding takes the surface back to fresh wood, and a new oil or lacquer finish brings out the grain and protects it for everyday life.

Before sanding, we check the boards and fix loose or damaged areas so the finished floor is sound as well as good-looking. What is possible depends on the condition of the timber, so we look at the floor with you first.

Why choose floor sanding & restoration

The points worth weighing up for your home or business.

Floor Sanding & Restoration questions

Every project is different. If your question is not here, call or WhatsApp us on +44 7940 417588.

Can my old floorboards be sanded?

Often, yes. It depends on the condition and thickness of the boards. We inspect the floor and let you know what is possible.

Should I choose oil or lacquer?

Lacquer creates a hard-wearing surface layer. Oil soaks into the wood for a more natural look and can be spot-repaired. We talk through which suits your home.

Can you repair damaged boards before sanding?

Yes. Loose or damaged boards are secured or replaced before sanding so the finished floor is sound.
