Engineered boards have a real wood top layer bonded to a layered core, which makes them more stable. Solid boards are a single piece of timber. Both are real wood.
Many engineered boards are suitable for underfloor heating. It depends on the product, so we check compatibility before you choose.
Solid wood can usually be sanded several times. Engineered boards can often be sanded too, depending on the thickness of the wear layer.
